About the Position

The Hospitality Support Specialist at Girl Scouts of Western Washington (GSWW) supports year-round camp program delivery and event coordination for user groups with reservations across GSWW properties. As a member of the Hospitality Team, this position facilitates classic camp activities such as archery, boating, team building, climbing wall, and challenge course. The role also assists with guest check-in/check-out, maintains program inventory, and provides operational support, including janitorial, kitchen, and event services. Based at Camp River Ranch, this position requires travel to other GSWW camps as needed and plays a key role in ensuring excellent guest experiences and adherence to safety standards.


This is a regular, full-time (40 hours per week), non-exempt, in-person role based in Western Washington, with a preference for candidates living within reasonable distance of the worksite in Carnation, WA.  While the full pay range for this position is $23.77 to $25.69 per hour, it will start at $23.77 per hour for the purpose of internal pay equity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Obtains and maintains certifications in camp program areas such as archery, small craft safety, lifeguarding, and challenge course facilitation.
  • Delivers engaging, safe, and inclusive camp programs for internal and external groups, ensuring alignment with the mission and values of GSWW.
  • Provides a positive and supportive experience for all guests through high-quality customer service and program delivery.
  • Ensures all activities and work areas comply with safety standards set by the American Camp Association (ACA), GSUSA Safety Activity Checkpoints, and GSWW policies.
  • Enforces safety regulations and emergency procedures during all program and event activities in accordance with GSWW and ACA standards.
  • Collaborates with the Property Reservation Team to schedule program reservations; adapts to a variable weekly schedule based on guest needs.
  • Maintains and prepares program areas and supplies in advance of scheduled reservations.
  • Creates and manages “curriculum in a box” kits in partnership with Outdoor Program Managers to support outdoor
