About the role

Qualifications Include:  High School Diploma or GED; Computer and typing skills; Organization skills; the ability to troubleshoot and maintain PC’s, install software, manage network accounts and provide computer support. Organizational skills are very important; Submitting to and passing successfully a criminal record check and a drug screening test. Ability to lift and carry PC’s and small to medium laser printers.

Hours:  Monday through Friday, 8:00 am until 4:30 pm. There will be occasions when work outside of this time is required to perform infrastructure maintenance or provide support to employees who are working other hours.

This position reports to the IT Systems Administrator.

Summary of Job Duties:  Maintaining PC’s, managing network accounts, and providing user support. Perform administration responsibilities under the guidance of the Systems Administrator.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Creating network and email accounts using Microsoft Server and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Installing software on PC’s.
  • Simple PC repairs including replacing hard drives and upgrading memory.
  • Managing network wide anti-virus and web filter systems.
  • Training staff on the use of new technology and offering support as needed.
  • Create and manage accounts in Windows Server, Outlook and Lync.
  • Travel to offices in an 8 county area to set up PC’s, troubleshoot network, and provide support.
  • Analyze data and create reports.
  • Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: 

  • The physical demands required to successfully perform this job include being able to push, pull, stoop, bend, stand, walk and lift up to 40 pounds.  Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable the individual with disabilities to perform these essential functions. You will be required carry PC’s, printers and monitors.
  • The employee will normally work indoors both at their assigned office at locations where computers are installed and networks are managed.  The noise level in the work environment is mild to moderate.
  • Hours of work are normally 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with one hour for lunch but may be subject to irregular and/or flexible hours during times of network maintenance or special circumstance.
  • Participation in annual training regarding infection control and safety in the environment including hazardous waste and blood borne pathogens will be required.
