Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for overseeing several Operational Control processes associated with Annuity and Life products. Candidate will work closely with our BPO provider, external vendors as well as other areas within our organization such as Product, Treasury, Systems, Legal, Finance and Distribution. Candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all processes listed below are performed and maintained in accordance with internal and external guidelines.
Main Accountabilities:
- Prepare and oversee daily Fund Settlements.
- Perform NAV and Share reconciliations.
- Ensure accuracy of money movements and have signoff capabilities.
- Maintain professional relationships with Fund Managers and be a key contact for issue resolution.
- Review all SEC 22c2 requests and request transaction data from third parties as required.
- Provide secure data to Fund Managers for COLI and Magnastar.
- Oversee all questions and fund restriction requests from Fund Managers.
- Work with Legal and Fund Managers to resolve any fund restrictions, warnings, or trading requests.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations.
- Perform monthly GL transactional and balance reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate reporting.
- Ensure open items are cleared in a timely manner.
- Process DLMA Commission repayment processes.
- Periodically review Compensation payments for accuracy.
- Provide accurate responses to any Commission related inquiries.
- Oversee Agent Renewal and Appointment processes.
- Assist Delaware Life Regulatory Mailings: Fund Annual and Semi-Annual Reports, Fund Prospectuses and Product Prospectuses and Proxies.
- Ensure all mailings are sent correctly while meeting all regulatory requirements.
- Perform the Fund Manager Reimbursement Process for Fund Regulatory mailings.
- Liaison for Fund Management, Law and Compliance.
- Key contact for all audit requests (PWC, MAR, State and Internal Controls audit requests)
- Process invoice payments and tracking for all of Operations vendors.
Qualification:
- BA/BS degree in a related field or prior work experience considered.
- 2+ years Fund Management, Operations or Commissions experience required.
- Strong commitment to customer service and quality.
- Ability to successfully perform in fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Exceptional organization and prioritization skills, research and follow-up skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail.
- Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio)
- Deep understanding of Oracle Fusion
- Ability to work independently and within a team setting with little oversight from manager.
- Strong Annuities / Life knowledge and or Industry experience in Financial Services or Insurance.
- Ability to multitask.
