Job Description
As the Sr. Onsite IT Technician this person provides customer focused personal computing support for all hardware and software products for local users or users visiting their respective plant location. This position reports directly to the NA IT Infrastructure Manager and collaborates with the regional Infrastructure team and OT Cyber Administrator. This position must be able to understand and problem-solve in complex situations using a wide variety of internal and external resources. This position may be required to be available after hours and on weekends. This role is located onsite at the ICL Lawrence, Kansas plant.

The Sr. Onsite IT Technician, located in Lawrence, KS, will be responsible for the conception, implementation, and operation of local IT solutions on a functional level, as well as enhancements of the existing local environment. This position assists in planning and implementation of Infrastructure IT projects and optimizes the working environment for the users.
Key Responsibilities
• Conception and optimization of the existing local server, storage, client and network environment
• Planning, installation operation and maintenance of Microsoft Windows server systems
• Administration and maintenance of local File-Services and Print-Services, SharePoint and Remote Desktop Services
• Work closely with all other Global IT Infrastructure Teams and the IT Global Infrastructure Service Provider Teams.
• Monitoring of server- and network environments
• Administration of local VMWare Server virtualization environments and storage systems
• Simplification and optimization of the working environment for mobile users
• Supporting service requests and troubleshooting within the 1st and 2nd level support
• Execution of analysis for the client requirements, developing of concepts and designing of IT architecture on bases of ICL´s strategy
• Work according to ICL and ITIL standards, creating the documentation for implementation and updates in the local infrastructure services as described in the Change Management process, while completing the configuration and initial technical testing of the Change Requests approved
• Support the Global Help Desk and Training team in coordinating and creating user manuals for new and updated services.
• Support the Global Help Desk in the 1st and 2nd level support, analyzing the Events, Incidents, Problems, Request, Access, and Changes.
• Troubleshoot and solve problems with desktop PCs, laptops, and printers.
• Maintain documentation and procedural changes to local Infrastructure environment.

Education and experience
• 2-year technical degree or professional certification is preferred (minimum H.S. diploma or equivalent with 5 years of experience)
• Minimum of 3 years of general IT operational experience
• Experience working in international and distributed IT environment highly preferred
• Working experience with Microsoft and Citrix technologies and products
• Working experience with project management and technical skill with ITIL desired.
• Experience working with Cyber Security Platforms and Services desired.
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Experience supporting Microsoft Office 365 (required)
• Service Ticketing System Experience (required)
• BMC Remedy Experience (preferred)
• Operations Technology (SCADA) concepts and experience (desired)

Salary Range: $59,150 - $109,850
Annual Bonus Target: 5%,
