Job Summary
Supports the day-to-day operations of the Branch Support - Operations Department in providing inventory review related to cycle counts and storage locations, and reporting duties. Analyzes warehouse reports regarding incoming damages and shorted material, movements, batching serial numbers, and inventory management reporting. Coordinates the return of the damaged or defective material to the carrier or vendor.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Analyzes warehouse reports regarding incoming damaged and shorted material—both carrier and vendor, and defective customer returns.
- Works with the branches, vendors and freight carriers to resolve related issues such as filing freight claims.
- Analyzes warehouse reports regarding movements, batching, serial numbers, stock locations, and inventory management reporting.
- Coordinates the return of the damaged or defective material to the carrier or vendor, as well as quarterly and annual stock returns.
- Works with the Applications Team in testing, documenting and training of new functionality related to vendor returns, and freight claims.
- Reviews inventory reports related to cycle count progress, storage location levels and vendor consignment.
Non-essential Functions
- Ensures warehouse documentation and training material related to vendor returns, freight claims and the receiving process is kept up to date along with developing training material for new process and technologies.
- Supports special project roll out, support and maintenance which includes, but is not limited to, new SAP projects, assisting other departments as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or designate.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a two-year business/trade degree or equivalent work experience with strong knowledge of electrical and/or communications products and vendors, industry experience and market knowledge and/or comparable education or experience preferred.
- Knowledge of material movements in SAP, reviewing PO history, and reviewing material history.
- Working knowledge of PC Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point) Internet, Email and SAP software preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent customer service skills include being competent, accurate, responsive and engaged.
- Possess a good understanding of all warehouse processes, including receiving, put away, bin maintenance and shipping.
- Excellent interpersonal communication (reading, writing and speaking in English) and customer service skills.
- Ability to plan, organize and use independent judgment.
