What You Can Expect
As our Senior Accountant, you will oversee general ledger accounting and reporting for Supply entities in their operational phases. Your responsibilities will include managing monthly and annual closing processes for assigned entities, preparing journal entries, conducting account reconciliations, performing variance analysis, and compiling management reports. This position is based in Houston, TX, and you will report directly to the Accounting Manager.
- Perform accounting and reporting tasks for the Supply group, including preparing monthly operating reports and managing cash flow
- Develop processes and drive continuous improvement, coordinating requirements across the organization
- Interface with external auditors, preparing financial schedules and fulfilling audit requests
- Assist the Performance Control Analyst with annual budgeting and long-term forecasting, and tackle ad-hoc projects involving complex accounting concepts as needed
What You’ll Bring

You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- A minimum of five (5) years’ of relevant accounting experience in Financial Reporting, Account Reconciliations, Retail Energy Industry or related field
- You are CPA certified or in progress towards certification
- You have strong accounting and financial reporting skills, complemented by expertise in Microsoft Excel and a solid proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and SAP
- You are knowledgeable in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, essential for effective financial analysis and decision-making
- You are deadline-driven with the ability to plan ahead, ensuring smooth and efficient close processes that meet strict timelines
- You have excellent interpersonal skills and are self-motivated, enabling you to communicate effectively with internal customers and external auditors, fostering strong professional relationship

Compensation
Salary Range: $74,500 – $104,500 USD annually
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus.
