Superlanet is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to support our well-known healthcare client in Northern California . This role will focus on defining and delivering infrastructure and enterprise technology solutions that support clinical, administrative, and IT initiatives across a complex healthcare environment. This is a 6-month contract with strong possibility of extension, remote is acceptable, but preference for individuals able to travel or located in Northern CA.
The ideal candidate is a highly experienced architect who can translate business and clinical requirements into scalable technical solutions while partnering closely with infrastructure, application, and operational teams. This individual will also help define architecture standards, mentor other architects, and guide solution design best practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities

Lead solution architecture development for complex enterprise technology initiatives across clinical, operational, and administrative domains

Facilitate deep technical discussions with subject matter experts to evaluate and design solutions for complex infrastructure and systems challenges

Develop and maintain architecture standards, lifecycle processes, solution patterns, design artifacts, and best practices

Conduct solution architecture peer reviews and mentor other architects across the organization

Translate business requirements and vendor specifications into scalable, secure, and high-availability technical designs

Partner with infrastructure and application teams to design integrated solutions spanning multiple technology domains

Provide project demand analysis and estimate effort, complexity, and duration for incoming initiatives

Guide technology roadmaps and portfolio planning by identifying infrastructure dependencies and architectural impacts

Serve as a liaison between infrastructure technology teams and application/information system teams

Lead architecture design sessions, whiteboarding workshops, and solution reviews with technical and business stakeholders

Develop detailed technical solution designs and assist with implementation planning and execution

Maintain solution documentation and ensure updates are aligned with evolving requirements and scope changes

Build strong relationships with internal technology teams, vendors, and strategic partners
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

15+ years of experience in Solution Architecture or related architecture disciplines

Prior experience supporting healthcare IT environments preferred
Technical Skills & Expertise

Broad knowledge across infrastructure and enterprise technology domains including:

Data center technologies (compute, storage, networking, virtualization)

End-user devices (workstations, mobile devices, clinical workstations)

Strong experience with enterprise infrastructure architecture and service-oriented architectures

Expert knowledge of public and private cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, VMware, or similar

Experience designing scalable, resilient, and highly available enterprise systems

Familiarity with healthcare clinical systems such as Epic, PACS, Safetrace TX, Ensemble, Nurse Call, Omnicell, and genomics platforms

Understanding of security architecture principles and best practices

Experience using architecture documentation and design tools such as Microsoft Visio, Word, Excel, and collaboration platforms
Leadership & Professional Skills

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across technical and executive audiences

Ability to facilitate architecture workshops and whiteboard solutions in customer-facing environments

Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly understand business needs and align technical solutions
