JOB PURPOSE
This is a dynamic and fast evolving moment within Beauty & Wellbeing, as new cultural shifts, benefits, and product innovations continue to redefine how consumers think about and engage with their hair care routines. Hair care plays an essential role in how people express themselves and care for their wellbeing—making it a category where consumers expect performance, relevance, and continuous innovation. This is a brand insights role for Nexxus, business partnering with key brand managers on both Innovation and Demand Creation.

For Nexxus, you will play a key role in shaping the Brand strategy, portfolio, driving innovation and communication development and showing the Business key growth opportunities. Unilever is a leader in Hair Care, and as competition in the U.S. intensifies, this role leverages consumer led insights to help Nexxus anticipate and shape evolving expectations while driving sustained category growth.

We are seeking a strategic, analytically strong Consumer & Market Insights professional who thrives on uncovering insights from diverse data sources, spotting connections others may miss, and translating them into compelling stories and recommendations. This individual will rapidly build expertise in the category, diagnose opportunities and challenges, and partner cross functionally to help solve some of the business’s most important growth questions.

This role is part of the Beauty & Wellbeing CMI team and reports to the Senior Manager Masstige Design & Demand Creation Insights Lead.


WHAT YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE

  • The core purpose of this role is to show the business where and how to win by championing and being the voice of the consumer. You will:
  • Help to develop and manage the end to end research for the Nexxus brand
  • Support the long & short term growth agenda, identifying trends & growth spots
  • Understand business performance, priorities and cross functional needs
  • Develop and lead learning plans
  • Helping to brief, manage, and land innovation and communication projects
  • Passion for beauty and staying abreast of consumer trends
  • Leverage all the tools and insights at our fingertips/ bringing everything together to land clear and concise story that ultimately drives business action
  • Help manage CMI budgets
  • Engage in and facilitate relationships across other CMI teams, agency partners, CTI, cross functional teams
  • Be a CMI Future Shaper – actively leveraging the right tools that balance the best use of AI along with developing a close human, consumer intimacy for the Nexxus Hair Care team.

Experiences & Qualifications

Professional skills and experience

  • 4+ years of experience in marketing or market research driving holistic category/brand growth
  • Strong experience in both innovation and communication development is the priority
  • Mastering qualitative & quantitative research techniques, with experience in-market data analysis
  • End to end project management with agency partners
  • Familiarity with data sources a plus: Circana (IRI), Numerator, Kantar, Mintel
  • Ability to turn complex to simple and understandable for non-tech audience

Pay: The pay range for this position is $88,600 to $133,000. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.  
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.  
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
