Job Description
Job Summary
Shriners Hospitals for Children is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) for our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This role involves providing high-quality, specialized nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients, ensuring their well-being and supporting their families through complex medical journeys.
Key Responsibilities
Assesses comprehensive data including physical, psychosocial, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual needs and interprets assessment information to derive the diagnosis.
Involves patient, family and health care team members in formulating a culturally appropriate individualized plan of care and identifies expected outcomes based on nursing assessment and diagnosis.
Implements the plan of care in partnership with the patient, family and health care team members.
Utilizes teaching strategies appropriate to the individual patient's condition and learning needs.
Evaluates the patient/family's understanding of and response to the plan of care.
Required Qualifications
BSN degree or in process
Massachusetts RN license
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
Two years acute care nursing experience
Bilingual English/Spanish
