Overview
This position is responsible for providing in-house advertising agency services to events under the supervision of the Deputy Director. Develops and coordinates effective advertising campaigns for the purpose of selling and promoting the various shows at the facility. Works with other department staff to execute budgeted advertising plans to advertise and promote events and manage venue advertising.
This role will pay a salary range of $60,000 - $70,000.

About the Venue
Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Providence, the RICC is within walking distance to restaurants, hotels, shops, art galleries, night clubs, museums and more. We offer 100,000 square feet of exhibition space, 20,000 square feet of ballroom space, 23 meeting rooms, and 30,000 square feet of pre-function space.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute advertising for promoters as well as other city departments.
- Create and implement promotional opportunities with all media or third parties.
- Create and organize ad materials including print, television, radio, email blast, flyers, auxiliary printing and pre-sales.
- Arrange cash advertising buys (in conjunction with event promotors) with financial implications of up to $90K on a single event and utilize trade agreements and ticket trades for supplemental advertising.

- Create and conduct special promotional contests; email coupons and notices, distributes posters, flyers and other materials through retail and e-commerce establishments to drive event ticket sales and other materials through retail and e-commerce establishments to drive event ticket sales.

- Establish an insider database of patrons and promote exclusive opportunities to members of that database through email blasts, newsletters and mailings.
- Assist management in preparation of building presentations and displays.
- Correspond with promoters and departments on day to day activity before and during the event.
- Review advertising expenditures and create event advertising settlement report with appropriate back up documentation (invoices, memo bills, promotional recaps and tear sheets) for inclusion in event settlement.
- Work with team and series advertising including season renewals as well as other special event advertising and promotions.
- Design and publish all electronic signage in and outside the building through the Dektronics computer systems including the Venus 700 and the matrix.
- Design and publish print collateral for the building, including welcome brochures and ticket brochures.
- Assist with management of venue related advertising, on line promotions and other specialized media.

Qualifications
- B.A. degree from four (4) year College in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Communications or Journalism required.
- 4-6 years minimum experience in marketing, strategy and media initiatives from concept to completion.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Technical Skills: Possess comprehensive knowledge of marketing, advertising, public relations, and digital strategy.
