The Service Reliability Engineering (SRE) team at Workday relentlessly pursues reliability and availability of customer environments by employing a culture of learning, continuous improvement and an engineering focus.

About the Role

This role will support one or more direct or indirect contracts with the U.S. Federal Government which, due to federal government security requirements, mandates that all Workday personnel working on the contracts be United States citizens (naturalized or native).

As a member of The SRE Engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying automation and applications that will be used by multiple teams within the Infrastructure Production Engineering organization. You will help build the SDLC & CICD framework, and support other teams in the organization on scripting and automation.

About You

Basic Qualifications

• This position requires a TS/SCI with CI polygraph security clearance. Applicants must already possess a valid and active TS/SCI with CI polygraph security clearance

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

• 3+ years of experience as a software developer supporting Production Engineering, DevOps or equivalent roles.

• You’re passionate about technology and enjoy doing research on new tools and techniques to seek out innovative ways of automating operational tasks.

• You have automation software development experience in the Private Cloud (Silo Data Centers) and Public Cloud Regions (AWS, GCP).

• You are skilled in one or more of the following programming languages - Bash, Python, GoLang, Ruby, Java.

• You have used configuration management frameworks like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes.

• You have experience in Linux and bash scripting

• You have good understanding of relational databases and MySQL

Other Qualifications

• Have a strong understanding of CI/CD, SDLC, and Agile methodologies.<
