With a focus on delivering high-quality solutions to innovative businesses across various industries, Reframe Data Services uses its expertise to help clients develop disruptive products and optimize their data-related processes. POSITIONReframe Data Services is seeking a Lead Full Stack Software Developer to help develop a state of the art data-driven technology platform that will have significant impact on scientific knowledge creation and distribution. Our goal is to atomize scholarly publications to maximize researcher potential and give credit to authors for every contribution. The product will heavily leverage technologies including custom LLMs, knowledge graphs, microservices, interactive visualizations, and APIs. The Lead Software Developer will be responsible for development and modifications of Reframe Data Services software products, leading the team on architecture and ongoing front and back-end development, produce high quality code. The candidate shall have a thorough understanding of life cycle development through production implementation and post implementation. The candidate shall have the ability to present to various audiences both technical and non-technical. The candidate shall display a strategic view of applications and how they fit into the product space. The candidate shall be creative, comfortable working in small teams, and have the ability to coordinate with US and non-US based developers. The candidate will collaborate with the product team, designers, research scientists, and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership
• Develop high quality code for front- and back-end
• Develop system architecture and develop component designs
• Provide technical guidance to team members
• Translate requirements, storyboards, and use cases into functional applications.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code for both front- and back-ends
• Research new technologies and algorithms. Adapt and implement these technologies into practices
• Identify issues and potential risks and implement solutions
• Implement unit testing. Ensure development testing is complete and the code is ready for QA
• Implement ML system reliability testing
• Maintain code quality and organization
• Integrate large datasets
• Implement analytics algorithms
• Collaborate with the UI/UX and Product Teams to ensure the technical feasibility of proposed functionality and designs
• Develop system technical architecture documentation and design diagrams
• Implement Scrum and manage releases

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in design and development of mission critical high-performance web-based applications
• 3+ years of providing technical leadership to teams of 5 or more
• Bachelor’s degree in technical field (Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent)
• Ability to work as full stack developer including front, back-end and database development.
• Strong coding skills
• Technologies: Microservices, AWS, Java, React, SQL, JavaScript, TypeScript, Spring, MSSQL, HTML, CSS, Open AI, Sagemaker, OpenSearch, Mongo, Neo4j
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, verbal, written, and active listening skills
