Brown & Brown is seeking a Personal Lines Team Leader for our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico!
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Lead and manage the Personal Lines department
- Provide feedback and foster growth through measurable goals
- Generate annual revenue by cross-selling, account rounding, and creating new business
- Meet or exceed annual department customer new business and retention goals
- Provide high-level consulting services to customers regarding their insurance coverage
- Analyze customer’s loss exposures and determine coverage needs
- Remain current on marketplace changes and inform customers as necessary
- Manage renewal and marketing activity of the team i.e., expiration and cancellation reports
- Assure coverage is in place and gaps in coverage are avoided
- Maintain current knowledge of legislation and technical updates and advise customers of regulatory changes and compliance issues
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers and carriers through phone calls, personal meetings, seminars, etc.
- Act as the trainer and mentor to new teammates, assisting with onboarding and ongoing training initiatives
- Foster and seek relationships with teammates across all levels of Brown & Brown
- Ensure compliance with government agencies and corporate policies and procedures
- Attend training sessions, courses, etc. to maintain up-to-date skills
- Always conduct the highest level of confidentiality
- Other duties as needed
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Current New Mexico Insurance License and appropriate Non-Resident Licenses
- 2+ years of management experience
- 5+ years of recent agency experience handling a broad spectrum of personal and commercial lines products and customers
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, & Outlook)
- Working knowledge of carrier websites (preferred)
- College degree, including management courses or the equivalent (preferred)
- Experience with Agency Management Software Systems
- This position requires routine or periodic travel which may require the teammate to drive their vehicle or a rental vehicle. Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are a requirement of this position
