Danfoss in Ames has an opening for a 3rd shift Team Coordinator. The hours for this position are Monday - Friday 10:00 pm – 6:00 am with the potential for overtime.

 

Team Coordinators facilitate communications from supervision/planning to the paint team. Follow the leadership standard work processes to meet goals for safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Lead TPM, startup, and shutdown activities.

Job Responsibilities

 

• Ensure a safe working environment
• Provide customers with a quality product
• Ensure on time delivery of product
• Coordinate and prioritize activities of the team
• Motivate and support employees throughout the shift keeping the team informed of expectations, scheduling, and any other follow-up information as needed
• Uphold strict compliance with all Danfoss and Operations floor policies
• Conduct daily shift meetings
• Report status of paint operations and initiate action to ensure targets are met
• Perform Shop Floor Audits as required
• Can use MD04 in SAP
• Communicate with other shifts to ensure a smooth transition from one shift to another
• Drive orderly, clean, and organized work areas according to 5S standards and the cleaning plan
• Responsible for coaching colleagues on applications of standards and to increase skills
• Responsible for updating Standard Works and the Skills Matrix
• Tracking metrics and updating KPI’s
• Identify weaknesses in operational processes and participate in continuous improvement activities (RCPS, 4-steps, 8D’s as well as kaizen/continuous improvement events)

• Ability to perform basic mathematics
• Knowledge of basic computer skills
