Dinsmore is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator at our Cincinnati, OH location. The position reports to the Human Resources Manager but will work closely with all members of the department including benefits and payroll. The successful candidate will help organize, coordinate and carry out all human resource department functions and processes for the firm. An emphasis will be on tracking and maintaining all employee data, including physical and electronic files.

Responsibilities
• Assist with all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests including employment verifications
• Maintain both hard and electronic employee records
• Assist with recruiting of legal and administrative staff
• Assist with performance management procedures
• Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events
• Coordinate training sessions and seminars
• Assist with onboarding, record collection and orientation, of new employees
• Produce and submit reports on general HR activity
• Assist with payroll, employee timecards and ad-hoc HR projects
• Track and report department expenses
• Support other assigned functions
• Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices

Requirements

• Exposure to labor law or a human resources department
• Excellent customer service skills
• Exposure to payroll practices
• Understanding of HR functions and best practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
• Highly computer literate with capability in email, HRIS databases, MS Office and related business and communication tools
• Fantastic organizational and time management skills
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
