Overview:

The Personal Injury Negotiator will manage and negotiate pre-litigation personal injury claims, serving as the main point of contact between clients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers. This role is crucial in achieving favorable settlements for our clients while ensuring all cases are handled efficiently and professionally.

Compensation: $60,000 - $80,000 per year plus commissions.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate personal injury claims and determine case value based on medical records, liability, and damages.
• Communicate with insurance adjusters to negotiate settlement offers on behalf of clients.
• Draft and submit settlement demand packages and respond to counteroffers.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of all case activity in the case management system.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and case managers to gather case information.
• Provide updates to clients on the status of negotiations and advise them on settlement options.
• Ensure compliance with state laws, legal procedures, and firm policies throughout the negotiation process.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in the State of Texas; in good standing with the Texas State Bar
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in personal injury negotiations, claims handling, or insurance adjusting (law firm experience preferred)
• In-depth knowledge of personal injury law, settlement procedures, and medical terminology
• Proven ability to negotiate effectively and communicate clearly with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance representatives
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and manage a high-volume caseload
• Proficient in legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
