What is The Role:

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join the Elastic Opex UI team. This team is responsible for delivering key user experience features to the Elastic Cloud Console, as well as the technical roadmap for the core cloud UI codebase. The ideal candidate should have experience with front-end technologies, plus an interest in CI/CD as we look to decouple the UI codebase from our current monolith release process. This is a high-impact role that provides an opportunity to get experience across both UI/UX and operational tasks.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Develop and maintain user-friendly applications using React and Angular with TypeScript.

• Build tooling required to manage and deploy the cloud UI application as a standalone service.

• Maintain unit, integration, and functional end-to-end tests.

• Partner with product managers, designers, and back-end developers to build, test, and release features that improve users cloud experience.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

• Participate in code reviews for your team and other teams.

What You Will Bring:

• 2+ years working in a frontend-focused role.
• Interest in CI/CD processes.
• Passionate about JavaScript or web development in general.
• You care deeply about the design and quality of the features you ship.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in a globally distributed team.
• TypeScript experience is a plus.
