Store Development Project Manager

The Role You Could Play:
We have an exciting, newly created role available for a Store Development Project Manager to deliver our Projects, relating to store development and refurbishments throughout Australia and New Zealand!
This role will be primarily based in VIC, however interstate travel will be required to support projects on a business needs basis.
This role is an initial 18 month contract.
Day to day, you will project manage and drive all new store openings, store refurbishments and other store development projects to ensure that we can surprise and delight our customers in new and existing stores on time and in budget!
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Communicating all projects plans, projects statuses and installations with internal and external stakeholders including consultants, contractors and suppliers
- Ensuring all retail store defects are identified and rectified as well as overseeing quality control of subcontractor work against Mecca company standards
- Manage project costs, use of internal company purchasing and invoicing systems
- Carry out site inspections (interstate travel will be involved)
- Manage (through consultants) permits and statutory matters
What You Will Bring:
If you have an extensive track record in successfully leading and delivering retail projects, you approach life with a can-do attitude and have a meticulous attention to detail, this may just be the perfect role for you!
Along with your experience in Property Project Management, you will ideally have:
- 4 years’ experience in end-to-end project management of retail construction and/or fit outs
- Experience in leading multiple construction projects concurrently
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills (internal and external)
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to work proactively as part of a committed team
- Strong financial and business acumen
- Advanced MS Office skills, particularly MS Excel
