Labor & Employment Associate- (2-4 year associate) New Jersey

Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for a 2nd – 4th year Associate in the Labor & Employment Practice of our Florham Park, New Jersey office. GT is consistently among the top firms on the Am Law Global 100, and was named the top litigation practice in the state in 2024 by the New Jersey Law Journal.  This Associate will have the opportunity to work with clients, large and small, from variety of industries across the country, in both litigation and counseling capacities.

Job Requirements:

Ideal candidate will have 2 or more years of experience in an employment-specific, defense-side role, with a focus on litigation involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, accommodations, and other employment claims; experience advising employers on compliance issues relating to leaves of absence, performance management, wage and hour compliance, and terminations; and drafting personnel policies and employment agreements.

Qualified candidates will have solid academic performance in law school, strong interpersonal, writing and analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability, desire and initiative to "take ownership" over work and career. Candidates must be in good standing with the NJ State Bar; NY admission also preferred.  

The expected pay range for this position is:

$175,000-$225,000

Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  Full time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, short term disability, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401K, vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program.  Additional voluntary programs include:  voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary long term care, voluntary critical illness and cancer insurance and pet insurance.  Commuter and Transit programs may also be available in certain markets.
