Rivertown Toyota is part of the fast-growing Group 1 Automotive, a leader in automotive retail. We are seeking a qualified and customer-focused BDC (Business Development Center) Representative to join our team.This role is responsible for managing inbound internet and phone inquiries, confirming vehicle availability, and scheduling dealership appointments. - Full-time, in-office (40 hours/week)
- Shifts rotate weekly based on business needs:
- 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Saturday (when scheduled): 8:45 AM – 7:00 PM(All with 1-hour lunch break)
- Flexibility required; schedule varies weekly
- If scheduled on Saturday, a day off will be given (Tue/Wed/Thu)
- No Mondays or Fridays off
- Saturday rotation: 2 on / 2 off
- Workweek: Saturday – Friday
- Closed: Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day (open all eves)
- Must be available for at least one shift window listed above
- No set schedule; flexibility required
- If working a Saturday, a weekday off (Tue/Wed/Thu) will be provided
- No Mondays or Fridays off
- Saturday rotation: 2 on / 2 off
- Workweek runs Saturday to Friday (important for payroll/overtime)
- Closed only on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day (open all eves)

Responsibilities
- Handle inbound leads (phone, Internet) and direct to appropriate contact
- Contact present customers (phone, email) to maintain and improve customer loyalty
- Developing a pipeline of sales and business opportunities (partnerships, etc.) leads through networking, cold calling, and referrals
- Work with sales department to develop sales strategies and techniques
- Research and stay current in consumer and industry trends
- Communicate industry news and trends to management and dealership employees
- Outstanding Customer Service
- You will be responsible for daily customer follow-up
- You will be responsible for managing your own time and responding to leads promptly
- You are comfortable using Goggle search, multiple computer browsers at once, and speaking to customers via phone/email
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent a plus
- Bilingual in Spanish and other languages are a Plus
- Possess an intermediate level of multi-tasking and computer skills
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software experience is a plus
- Ability to adapt to sudden business and industry changes as it directly effects automotive service operation
- Auto dealership retail new car experience
- Proven sales experience, preferably in the automotive industry
- Superior communication and customer service skills
- Excellent follow-through skills
- Solid working knowledge of the Internet
- Maintaining a positive, can-do attitude
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software experience is a Plus
