Your New Role

WBD MAX seeks a Senior Software Engineer for the WBD MAX consumer organization. As a Senior Software Engineer at WBD MAX, you will be working primarily on our Partner Integrations team which is responsible for users to view WBD MAX content. You will be responsible for creating complex data processing and presentation tools that integrate with media companies around the world. You will work as part of a highly talented team of architects and engineers to expand our systems to provide WBD MAX customers around the world the most streamlined user experience.

We are looking for candidates with 5+ years of experience as a software engineer and the ability to quickly learn new platforms. We use many different technologies such as Go, AWS, and Docker/Kubernetes to name a few. While we don’t expect you to know them all coming in, we need a candidate who can quickly learn and be proficient with them!

This role may be permanently remote for candidates living in select states within the U.S.

Your Role Accountabilities

• Design, implement, and support services that powers HBO Max and MAX user authentication and authorization.

• Collaborate with other engineers to improve supportability, stability, and robustness of custom server software and infrastructure

• Lead design initiatives for new features from clients and internal technical debt

• Write and review code, develop documentation, and debug problems, live, on very complex systems

• Together with the rest of the engineering team, you will share an on-call rotation and be an escalation contact for service incidents.

• Iterate and develop tests suites to maintain the high-quality standards of our code.

Qualifications & Experience

• 5-7 years of experiencing professionally delivering online technology and backend services

• Must be comfortable working in a Linux/Unix environment.

• Able to read and write software in Python, Java, Go, or some other general-purpose programming language

• Strong experience with relational databases

• Experience using and creating APIs.

• Must have excellent communication skills.

• Ability to excel in a fast paced, startup-like environment

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $119,700.00 - $222,300.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses,
