Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities

• Provide screening to patients that have endorsed suicidality as assessed by the ASQ
• Provide screening to patients and/or parents of patients that have expressed concerns about non-suicidal self-injury, suicidal ideation, and/or homicidal ideation during the course of their medical care
• Respond to consultation requests from medical teams regarding concerns for urgent and on-demand mental, emotional, or behavioral health needs
• Partner with psychology and/or family services departments for further assessment and coordination, as needed
• Develop care plans and/or treatment plans in accordance with risk findings and assessment of clinical needs
• Provide case management in follow-up care to ensure successful access to services, as needed
• Support mandated reporting procedures associated with recommended care plans
• Coordinate appropriate referrals to internal and/or external mental health care when applicable
• Identify, maintain, and share knowledge of resources in communities in which Scottish Rite patients reside

Required Skills/Abilities

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker LCSW (required)
• English (required)
• Spanish (preferred)
• Experience with crisis intervention and/or risk assessment required
• Experience in a pediatric mental health setting required
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred
• Interest in clinical practice within the social services field
• Experience working with athletes (Frisco location, preferred)
