Department Overview

The men and women of Electric Operations ensure the delivery of safe and reliable electric service to our customers. Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration and emergency response.

 

Position Summary

Designs, develops, implements, and oversees Vegetation Management contracts and specifications. Manages activities associated with resource requests and work allocation, including planning, coordinating, monitoring, and collaborating with Strategic Sourcing. Responsible for organizing, leading, and facilitating cross-functional teams and communicating contract changes and allocation awards. Works with Vegetation Management leaders to strategize and execute program initiatives.  Delivers presentations and facilitates meetings throughout the LOB including contractors.

• Travel approximately 50% with occasional overnight stays.
• This position offers a flexible work location within the PG&E service territory.

 
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity.  

 

A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $140,000
Bay Area Maximum: $238,000
&/OR
California Minimum: $133,000
California Maximum: $226,000
 

 

Job Responsibilities

• Works autonomously, applying extensive unique subject matter expertise to solve unique and complex problems, anticipates issues and develops innovative solutions on projects in multiple disciplines such as vegetation management, sourcing initiatives, contractor partnerships, and contract enforcement.
• Works with senior management to support strategic planning and decision making.
• Manages major cross-functional projects and initiatives. Acts as a thought leader; applying extensive and unique subject matter expertise in the development of strategy and resolution.
• Maintains relationships with all management level staff to ensure resource and allocation decisions are implemented in adherence to specifications and contracts. 
• Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing to execute competitive sourcing events for Vegetation Management.
