Scope:
Essential role driving the daily operations of the Human Resource function for the Scottsville Manufacturing Operations, ensuring seamless integration of HR strategies with business objectives and goals.
Job Summary:
The Human Resources Business Partner is an employee facing role providing a professional level of partnership to employees and people leaders. Key areas of focus, either directly or in collaboration with COEs, include talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, employee engagement and development, policy implementation, compensation administration, employee communications, and regulatory compliance. This position is pivotal in fostering a collaborative environment between employees and leadership, enhancing organizational effectiveness and employee engagement across the site.
Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
- Assess and anticipate HR-related needs, proactively soliciting support for HR initiatives to help reach business objectives and KPIs as identified in the Company’s Vision, Mission, Objectives, Strategies, and Tactics (VMOST).
- Support partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.
- Ensure consistent employment and disciplinary practices in compliance with Company policies and labor law.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and Total Rewards COEs to ensure effective management of the entire talent lifecycle.
- Partner collaboratively with EHS, Workers Compensation and Leave Management to ensure policies, practices and measures are in place to address long and short-term absences appropriately.
- Conducts comprehensive new hire orientation sessions to ensure employees are well-informed of company policies, procedures and culture.
- Advises supervisors, managers, and employees on consistent application of established policies and practices. Communicates policy changes or clarification as needed.
- Ensure continual employee performance improvement, engagement, and retention, driving processes to facilitate progress.
- Ensure alignment with succession and high potential planning in line with the defined strategy and needs of the business.
- Consult with employees and managers to address root causes of issues and resolve through a systematic and analytical approach, including investigations.
- Assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
- Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment. Stays abreast of changes in laws, case law, regulations, policies, and programs relevant to employee relations and employment practices.
- Maintain an effective level of business literacy about the site or business unit(s) supported.
- Champion a culture of connection and belonging across the site, fostering an environment where every employee feels valued, supported, and engaged in their work and community.
- Participate in cross-functional business project teams which are impactful for the overall business.
- Complete special projects and other duties as required.
Travel:
This position may require local or global travel as needed, less than 5%.
