This position is a onsite opportunity in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. We are helping people with Diabetes lead healthier, happier lives. As a Senior Financial Analyst for "Research & Development" and "New Analyte Ventures", you'll be a key advisor for an R&D organization responsible for the development of next-generation biosensing technologies in Abbott Diabetes Care’s New Analyte Ventures.
You will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of annual budgets and periodic forecast updates for the Business. This includes a deep-dive of the business data, and providing financial analysis and support to operating managers on strategic planning, budgeting and operations planning, performance monitoring and variance analysis. You'll be part of the financial evaluation of future business opportunities (aka "New Analyte Ventures"). You'll perform ROI, financial modeling and payback analysis on new products, technologies and/or major capital expenditures. This is an onsite opportunity in Alameda, CA.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Supports the Controller / Finance Management on key projects and analyses.
- Integral player in development of annual plans and periodic updates as needed.
- Interfaces with Senior Management and Department Managers and key stakeholders to gain understanding of key revenue and cost drivers.
- Prepares key management reports emphasizing historical results, budgets, forecasts, and trends.
- Performs actual to budget variance analysis while highlighting risks & opportunities to plan.
- Performs cost benefit justifications on major investments in new product development, programs and or capital expenditures.
- Performs monthly management reporting including budgetary performance and/or daily/monthly sales reporting as applicable.
