Position title: Expanded Learning Safety & Support

Bay Area Community Resources (BACR) at Paul Revere K-8 in San Francisco is seeking committed and passionate Safety and Support members who can float around and support program needs, substitute when members are absent, and make sure the campus is safe at all times. In addition this staff member will develop strong relationships amongst youth, families, and staff.

• Part time 23.5 hrs/week - Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri - 2:30pm - 7:00pm & Wed - 1:30pm - 7:00pm

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate Degree OR 48 or more college units OR pass the Instructional Aide exam (proctored by BACR)
• Must pass criminal background check and TB test clearance
• Must be able to work everyday during after school hours & commit to full duration of 2023-24 school year
• Possess strong classroom and behavior management skills
• Have CPR and/or First Aid Certification OR willingness to receive training

Preferred

• Previous experience working with youth in a school setting
• Bilingual Spanish/English

Responsibilities

• Prepare/setup program space at opening & cleanup/closedown space at end of day
• Comply with security, emergency, first aid, pickup/signout procedures to ensure program safety
• Act as substitute when other members are absent
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, director & peer staff
  
• Encourage & practice conflict resolution with students
  
• Actively supervise and ensure student safety at all times
  
• Communicate regularly with the coordinator to ensure consistency
  
• Attend and participate in all staff meetings and ongoing trainings
