***Our headquarters is in Stamford, CT, but the location of this position can be flexible with a priority given to candidates open to hybrid work (2-3 days week in office) in one of our office locations - - Stamford, CT, New York, NY, Charlotte, NC, Los Angeles, CA or Atlanta, GA. We will also consider a remote-based working arrangement for qualified candidates with East Coast working hours as a prerequisite.”

Octagon is looking for an Account Manager to join a large-scale, nationwide experiential driving program built around our client’s newest and most luxurious vehicles.

This position will help lead and contribute to multiple account service areas as the experiential marketing tour travels to major cities across the country; offering consumers a unique opportunity to get behind the wheel of our client’s most notable vehicles.

This account manager will serve as team lead and support for areas including but not limited to: CRM, vendor and client communications, event logistics, event staffing and help oversee the on-site consumer experience in select markets.

THE WORK YOU’LL DO

  • Solve complex problems by bringing strategic thinking and new perspectives to existing challenges.
  • Demonstrate marketing knowledge and contributes to greater agency team.
  • Use personal and agency resources to impact the quality, efficiency, and timeliness of assigned work while contributing to overall success of the tour.
  • Lead day-to-day efforts on multiple projects, while simultaneously serving as a lead resource to junior team members
  • Review, evaluate and negotiate basic contracts with vendors, properties, etc.
  • Support and lead event planning areas including, but not limited to: CRM, event staffing, vendor/event partnerships and creative.
  • Coordinate with internal/external partners to ensure teamwork and optimize implementation of project timelines.
  • Strong prior experience in creative, list development/targeting, communication plans, project timelines and translating general social media and CRM data is preferred.
  • Track event results and assist in preparing/reporting market and program recaps.
  • Manage event staff on-site at designated markets.
  • Develop key client relationships and execute deliverables.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 4+ years agency/client experience
  • Automotive industry, event marketing, experiential marketing and/or mobile tour experience preferred.
  • Takes initiative with minimal direction and completes projects start-to-finish.
  • Ability to manage diverse relationships with multiple internal/external vendors, suppliers, etc.
  • Supervise, manage, and mentor full-time and limited term staff.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to navigate tight deadlines and work on a fast-paced team.
  • Experience in writing status reports, recaps, industry/competitive analysis
  • Drive projects forward and create an atmosphere of teamwork with appropriate written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work non-standard hours and events on weekdays, weekends, evenings and potential holidays.
  • Some travel required (approx. 25-35%)
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Compensation + Benefits:

  • L3: The base range for this position is $60,000 – 65,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors,
