What we’re looking for: 

Gartner Digital Markets is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to help build a software team distributed between Austin, Barcelona, Spain and Gurgaon, India to create and expand integrations between different software systems. This person should have a background in cloud architecture, strong coding skills, and the ability to work with teammates in a leadership role.

Why you’ll want to come to work:

• Help build and lead a team of Software Engineers based in Austin, Barcelona and Gurgaon. 

• Work closely with product owners, project managers, and other engineering teams to solve complex business problems. 

• Build Cloud based applications in Vercel and AWS. 

• Work with global teams to provide tools and integrations into new and existing infrastructure. 

What you’ll bring to the team:

Must have:

• Experience in developing public websites with Next.Js. 

• Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, or another server-side programming language. 

• Proficiency in React, ideally in server side rendering and React Server Components. 

• Proficiency in Core Web Vitals, page performance and technical SEO 

• Experience in GraphQL 

• Experience providing team leadership on software projects. 

• Knowledge of web-based communication patterns and protocols. 

• Knowledge of cloud architecture concepts in Vercel and AWS;  Google Cloud, or Azure with the ability to translate the knowledge to AWS. 

• Knowledge of modern Programming paradigms and common software design patterns. 

• Experience working under Agile-based development cycles and processes. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
