Qualifications

The Accounting Department at Saint Mary’s College of California (Moraga) seeks a Full-time Salaried Adjunct Professor for a one-year (AY 2024-25) appointment, to teach 6-7 courses per year (18-25 units), at the undergraduate and master levels.  Classes can be in any of these areas: intermediate financial accounting, advanced managerial accounting, financial statement analysis and corporate taxation. Departmental service is also required in this role, including responsibilities such as student and community outreach, attending orientation and admissions events, participation in departmental and committees.

Faculty also contribute to the mission in alignment with Transformation 2028 strategic priorities and as it relates to diversity, equity, inclusion and justice, and interdisciplinary programming. 

Faculty Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: Candidates should hold a Master’s degree and an active CPA license.

Preferred Qualifications: PhD in Accounting with Scholarly Active (SA) qualifications for AACSB purposes; prior teaching experience in the areas of intermediate financial accounting, advanced managerial accounting, financial statement analysis, and corporate taxation.
