About the role
Role Overview: As a Lead in the Waste Division you will assist in managing sorting operations and coordinating the work of other sorters. This position is essential for maintaining the high recovery rates of materials for reuse, recycling, and composting, contributing to the stadium's environmental goals.
Pay: $24.00 an hour
The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Responsibilities:
- Sort and separate materials such as paper, plastics, glass, and food waste
- Supervise, schedule, and perform the collection and disposal of waste and recycling materials
- Work quickly and accurately to manage waste during back-to-back events, focusing on negative sorting to remove non-compostable items.
- Perform heavy lifting and move materials to designated areas
- Clean and sanitize work areas to maintain a safe and organized environment
- Training and supervision of personnel on operation
- Dig and handle materials as required
- Standing for at least 7 hours daily with breaks.
- Retrieve trash, recycle, and compost throughout the facility.
Requirements:
- Commitment to sustainability and environmental practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work post-event hours, including nights and weekends.
- One year of experience in the area of waste management/recycling.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle waste materials.
- Sort waste materials correctly on the conveyor belt.
- Assist with heavy items and maintain a tidy work area.
- Follow safety protocols and wear PPE.
- Be ready to work in various weather conditions.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
