Come join us at Corporate HQ for Summer 2024! Our Cybersecurity Internship offers students hands-on, real-world experience within the company over an 10 - 12 week period.  Come experience an inside look in the world of Cybersecurity, CPG and Food Production.

What You Will Learn & Main Responsibilities

This internship offers the chance to collaborate with seasoned cybersecurity experts, gaining valuable exposure to security measures, incident response, and the latest cybersecurity practices.

1. Assist in monitoring and analyzing security incidents and threats to our network and systems
2. Assist in the development of Cyber risk strategies, identity and access management programs, network security, cybersecurity analytics, ethical hacking, cloud security, privacy & data protection, artificial intelligence, etc.
3. Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to implement security measures and protocols
4. Participate in the development and enhancement of security policies and procedures
5. Supports projects to automate and streamline access management and controls user access to all information within the Perdue organizations
6. Streamline and improve access management processes when possible and support the Information Security/Identity & Access Management Team

Minimum Education

• Must be a rising Sophomore, Junior or Senior currently pursuing a Bachelors degree at an accredited university in a relevant field of study. Cyber Security, Information Systems, Information Technology or related majors preferred.
• Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA or higher

Experience Requirements

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn new software
• Possess strong analytical, communication and time management skills
• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills

Experience Preferred

• 3.25 GPA or higher is highly preferred
• Strongly prefer a rising Junior or Senios who has completed at least 2 college-level IT/IS courses

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.  May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db. to 110 db.
May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.  May need to climb ladders.
