We are looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team and make a significant impact. Join our team and contribute to our success! The role “young professionals” equals the employee group and is always applied as a role if the output of the work. Cannot be properly allocated to one single role. This might be the case for e.g. Apprenticeships where HR might centrally act as supervisor to align with the different involved department leads. As this group is extremely heterogeneous, we do not show accountabilities, capabilities or an organisational set up. But rather explain which target groups can be part of “young professional”.

  • Intern: somebody working for Berner for a defined and scheduled period besides being in school or academic institute. Through the internship the intern typically wants to gain practical experience in the company while his/her main objective is studying at school or academia. The company might pay or not pay for the internship.
  • Apprentice: vocational (professional) training usually lasting 12- 36 months, typically with practical in house phases and theoretical phases in school like institutes. Through the apprenticeship the apprentice typically wantsto gain an official certificate of professional qualification for a given job. Apprentice might get nor might get not paid
  • Dual student: professional training usually lasting 12- 36 months, typically with practical in house phases and theoretical phases in a university like institute (often university or university of applied sciences). Study could be combined with vocational training or practical work experience phases with the employer. Student might get or might not get paid
  • Bachelor/master´s degree: if someone writes his/her thesis with us. We typically involve in selection and definition of the thesis’ topic to benefit from the result. We typically supervise them more and they are typically not fully working for us, their main objective is writing a thesis
  • Working student: works (mostly parttime) for berner while studying in an academic institute. Typically works on every topic we assign to them. Main objective of a working student is to gain practical experience in the workwhile mainly focusing on their academic diploma
  • Trainee / volunteer: trainee typically joins the company after graduating from an academic institute. Trainee program is usually designed through a dedicated program which typically allows the trainee to gain professional experience from several departments and roles in the firm. Typically designed for a defined period of time, e.g. 3-18 months. It aims at providing practical work experience after completion of an academic study. Trainee usuallygets paid.
