DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Administrator to join our Information Systems (IS) team in New York. As a technical expert, you will manage and troubleshoot advanced technical issues, lead cross-departmental projects, and maintain the organization's systems and infrastructure. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless IS operations, driving systems onboarding, and providing escalation support for Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Systems Onboarding
    • Design and lead complex systems (business application, generic application and IT related systems) onboarding and integrations, working closely with business stakeholders to define requirements, benchmark, budget management, technical design and implementation.
  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting
    • Resolve complex technical issues escalated from Tier 1 and Tier 2 support.
    • Act as the final escalation point for technical issues, ensuring resolution within SLA timelines.
    • Conduct root cause analysis and implement solutions to prevent recurring problems.
  • Infrastructure Administration
    • Maintain the US sites network infrastructure (Office, DataCenters)
    • Maintain SaaS applications central management solution. 
    • Perform system updates, upgrades, patches, and maintenance as required.
    • Monitor system performance, and availability to ensure optimal operation.
    • Administer and maintain servers (in scope), Amazon Workspace fleet, storage systems, 
    • Maintaining computer fleet central management solutions (MDM).
  • Project management
    • Lead the development and execution of strategic project plans, ensuring alignment with department’s goals and objectives
    • Oversee all aspects of project delivery, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk management
    • Drive the adoption of best practices in project management, including Agile methodologies
    • Collaborate with business and technology teams to optimize project delivery processes, leveraging tools such as JIRA, FreshService, Monday,  and other project and task management platforms
  • IT Security and Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with security policies and standards, implementing security best practices, according to guidelines from the security team.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing
    • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for systems, processes, and solutions.
    • Provide knowledge transfer and training to Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams.
  • Project Participation
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on tech projects and initiatives.
    • Lead infrastructure improvement projects, ensuring minimal downtime during deployments.
    • Execute project tasks while working in sprints
  • Vendor and Tool Management
    • Manage vendor relationships, including troubleshooting and resolving vendor-related issues.
    • Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies to enhance the IS operations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Required Skills and Experiences:

    • Proven experience (5+ years) as a System Administrator or similar role, with a focus on Tier 3-level support.
    • Strong expertise in managing AWS, Azure and GCP environments
    • Strong knowledge inImplementing and maintaining MDM (Mobile Device Management) solutions.
    • Proven ability to manage OKTA integrations.
    • Proficiency in virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
    • Solid knowledge of networking (e.g., DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs).
    • Familiarity with IT security concepts and tools, including endpoint protection.
