We are excited to announce a unique opportunity to join our team as a Sr. Actuarial Consultant, specializing in Commercial Lines Indications. This role offers the chance to work with leading-edge technology to modernize and make a significant impact within our organization. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with a dynamic team to develop and implement innovative actuarial solutions to drive efficiency in the indication process. 

• Utilize advanced coding skills in Python or similar languages, PySpark, and SQL to analyze and interpret complex data sets. 

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of actuarial models and tools. 

 

Required Experience: 

• Proficiency in coding with Python or similar programming languages. 

• Experience with PySpark and SQL. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

 

Preferred Experience: 

• Familiarity with GitHub for version control and collaboration.

This role will work on a hybrid schedule, with 2 days per week at one of our office locations in Columbus, OH or Des Moines, IA. This role will be staffed at the G5 internal pay band.

As an Actuarial Sr Consultant, you’ll need to have detailed familiarity with business operations, systems, and actuarial methodologies. We’ll count on you to be adept at complex actuarial techniques and work independently to combine advanced actuarial and business knowledge to provide high-level analysis. Additionally, you’ll have expertise to provide consultation and recommendations on deliverables and maintain detailed documentation of actuarial models and analyses. You’ll work independently and may lead others.
