We are seeking a compassionate, knowledgeable, and driven ACT Team Lead / Licensed Mental Health Therapist to lead our Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT). In this leadership role, you will guide a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering person-centered behavioral health services directly in the community while supporting individuals on their path toward recovery, independence, and stability.

Your Role in Our Mission
As an ACT Team Lead / Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you will provide leadership for the ACT Team while maintaining a hands-on role in service delivery. You will oversee daily team operations, provide clinical supervision and mentorship to staff, support quality and compliance standards, and collaborate closely with the Psychiatric Care Provider to ensure individuals receive high-quality, ethical, and recovery-oriented care.
You will also participate in intake assessments, person-centered planning, crisis response, and direct community-based therapeutic services for a select group of individuals receiving ACT services. This role combines leadership, collaboration, and direct impact—allowing you to model best practices while supporting staff development and individual recovery outcomes.
Services are delivered where individuals need them most, including homes, shelters, hospitals, and community settings throughout the region.
What You'll Do
- Provide clinical and administrative oversight of the ACT Team
- Supervise, mentor, and support multidisciplinary staff
- Deliver direct therapeutic interventions and community-based services
- Participate in referral screenings, assessments, and person-centered treatment planning
- Support quality assurance, utilization review, and documentation compliance
- Review and approve service documentation, billing, and timesheets
- Coordinate peer review and ensure timely incident reporting
- Assist with onboarding, training, and staff evaluations
- Maintain fidelity to ACT standards and person-centered care practices

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary: $70,000 - $80,000 for this full-time exempt position

What We’re Looking For
To join our team as an ACT Team Lead / Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you must have a passion for helping individuals with severe and persistent mental illness thrive within their communities while also leading and supporting a high-performing clinical team.
We also require:
- Master’s degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related human services field from an accredited college or university
- Provisional or full licensure in North Carolina (e.g., LCSW/A, LCMHC/A, LMFT/A, LPC or equivalent required; full licensure preferred)
- Minimum of one year of post-graduate MH/DD/SA experience with the population served
- Supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and clinical leadership skills
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license and reliable transportation
