Transportation Landscape Architect Assistant I, or II - Design Division - Austin, TX

TxDOT's Design Division is looking for a designer to join our team in the Landscape Architecture Branch!  This position will involve assisting in developing landscaping projects, providing support to field personnel for landscaping issues, coordinating on Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) issues, and assisting in reviewing projects for ADA and landscaping concerns. Join us to design and plan spaces in TxDOT ROW to achieve aesthetic, environmental, and functional goals. Work on a variety of projects, across the various climates and topographies of Texas for districts to work with Local Partners to collaborate with other professionals, such as architects and engineers, to ensure that their designs are safe, practical, and effective. Develop guidelines for working with local partners, while taking into consideration factors such as natural features, topography, climate, and economic feasibility and preferences when designing ROW projects across TxDOT’s 25 districts.  This position is viewed as a step to licensure and LARE prep is supported in this position.  At TxDOT, we value employee work-life balance. Transportation Landscape Architect Assistant II - B22 Salary Range $62,000.00 - $77,000.00
