Job Purpose and Impact

The Product Portfolio Manager- Global Fats & Oils Solutions will  be accountable for the development and implementation of Cargill's Global Meat & Dairy Alternatives (M&DA) solutions portfolio to support long term growth of our customers’ businesses globally. In this role, you will deliver growth for the business through new product innovation fulfilling on our value proposition (price-conscious enticing, nutritious and sustainable food creations) as well as developing enhanced / differentiated market positioning for existing Cargill Food Solutions (CFS) product portfolios. You will work collaboratively with regional product line managers, regional asset owners in Build Operations and Supply Chain (BOSC) teams, regional and global R&D (Research and Development) teams to define the target product portfolio and deliver seamless customer experience. Working closely with the Commercial and Marketing teams in Meat & Dairy Alternative Solutions at global and regional level, you will drive business implementation of launches and positioning of products and services as part of Fats & Oils Solutions Portfolio. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Partner collaboratively with our commercial, technical, marketing and BOSC teams to ensure our strategic short- and long-term products and services pipeline is in place to achieve business goals.
  • Deliver portfolio goals identified in Integrated Business Planning process.
  • Provide thought leadership with deep understanding of business growth strategy including market trends, customer unmet needs and opportunity spaces.
  • Contribute input to the development of a solutions portfolio with market relevance (globally and/or in specific regions) through phased deployments in alignment with marketing, innovation and strategic pricing work including segmentation, value-based pricing, and product life cycle best practices.
  • Maintain knowledge of the competitive / supplier environment for M&DA categories and applications to improve profitability of the product portfolio by optimizing sourcing and tolling options.
  • Build knowledge of production capabilities and asset footprints and partner with the M&DA strategic growth and CFS operations team to develop the mid to long range vision for future capabilities (build/partner/source).
  • Other duties as assigned including evaluating / solving possible portfolio fit or overlap with gameboard targets.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience in edible oils
  • Product line and Portfolio management experience with P&L focus
  • Experience in Fats & Oils products group management and portfolio delivery (organic / inorganic)
  • Able to travel up to 20%

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Commercial acumen, experience managing and building customers portfolio 
  • Experience finding profitable solutions for the business and the clients
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams 
  • Passion for innovation 
  • Minimum of ten or more years of related work experience with edible oils
