As the Senior SAP Data Governance (SAP MDG) Architect you will maintain and develop the data governance and management function for Kuiper ERP Systems keeping in mind requirements from customers and other stakeholders. This role will be responsible for building a long-term data governance program aimed at reducing organizational risks coming from poor quality design, supply chain and manufacturing data.

Key job responsibilities
• Deliver end to end implementation of SAP MDG Material data model (later to implement Vendor and Customer data)
• Develop, deploy and manage data governance principles across enterprise systems (SAP ERP, E2Open SCM, Teamcenter PLM, SAP MES)
• Effectively interact with Leadership and end-users to understand business needs and supporting data & process requirements
• Ability to provide SAP MDG training and hand-on sessions to team member
• Develop, deploy and manage review process of reference data objects for quality, completeness, and overall integrity of key data elements and provide remediation recommendations for data cleansing.
• Drive any reference data related improvement initiatives as necessary. Ability to suggest innovative ideas to improve data governance.
• Provides support to all business reference data related activities e.g., Data Loads using LSMW, Data Extracts, Data Mass Maintenance and other Mass Updates.
• Perform business analysis tasks such as documenting business process map, analyze process challenges & issues and recommend target state; ask leading questions to elicit information from non-technical users; document the findings and present the results of analyses
• Manage the portfolio of projects required to successfully execute business data governance strategy
• Deliver data quality metrics and insights through reports, presentations & interactive dashboards to drive governance strategy
• Document data governance project scope and obtain sponsor approvals. Manage project tasks, timeline, risks and issues.
• Maintain a full audit trail of critical ERP reference data changes and handle internal Audit queries as necessary.
• Help with evaluation of new data sources, and subsequent onboarding of the data on governance framework
• Manage support desk team members providing Level 1 support for ERP reference data problem resolution issues following documented procedures.
• Lead business requirement, functional and non-functional requirement gathering for SAP MDG projects
• Ensure all requirements align with enterprise data governance standards.
• Lead MDG architecture design and implementation of MDG projects


Export Control Requirement:

A day in the life
Collaborate with enterprise architects, business leadership and other stakeholders to develop robust governance principles to meet the dynamic demands of internal customers in manufacturing. Your primary role will be to manage the adherence to those principles and ensure data quality across different platforms of the business enterprise architecture.

Serve as a liaison between Kuiper business units to improve the quality of data within our core systems and introduce an enterprise taxonomy and ontology consistently across the business and systems.

Responsible for engaging with enterprise architects, product owners and business users to ensure that data quality requirements are defined, documented and translated into effective and consistent processes that improve the quality of our data.
