About the Role:
The Senior Director, Construction – North America plays a critical leadership role within PVH’s Global Expansion organization, reporting directly to the SVP, Store Development. This position oversees all retail and wholesale construction initiatives across North America, leading a high-performing team. The role partners closely with brand, design, and functional leaders to bring PVH’s physical retail strategy to life ensuring every build reflects our commitment to excellence, innovation, and brand integrity.
What You’ll Do:
Lead End-to-End Construction Strategy: Oversee the successful delivery of all new builds, renovations, and capital maintenance projects from planning through execution ensuring construction excellence across the regional portfolio.
Steward Brand Vision in the Built Environment: Collaborate with brand leaders on prototype development, store concept evolution and design execution, ensuring that every space aligns with our merchandising strategies and elevates the consumer experience.
Executive Collaboration: Serve as a strategic partner to the brands and enterprise leadership, advising on construction strategy and presenting projects and store development plans to senior executives.
Portfolio Planning & Budget Oversight: Build and manage detailed budgets and timelines for all construction and maintenance initiatives; ensure fiscal discipline and on-time delivery across multiple, concurrent projects.
Vendor & Regulatory Leadership: Cultivate trusted relationships with general contractors, landlords, local building departments, and permitting agencies. Ensure full compliance with engineering standards, federal and state building codes, and permitting processes.
Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with Real Estate, Finance, Legal, and Store Operations teams to support forecasting, reporting, and business case development for executive and Board-level discussions.
Vendor Negotiations: Lead critical negotiations with external construction and maintenance vendors, securing best-in-class terms that drive value, efficiency, and quality.
Team Leadership: Inspire and develop a diverse team of construction professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
What You’ll Bring
10+ years of progressive construction leadership experience, ideally within the retail, fashion, or consumer space.
Proven track record leading complex, multi-site construction projects across North America.
Strong executive presence with exceptional communication and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and grow high-performing teams.
Expertise in project management, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
Deep technical knowledge of the construction process, permitting, building codes, and vendor management.
Advanced negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Strategic, data-driven mindset with the ability to synthesize information and influence decisions at the highest levels.
Proficiency in construction and project management tools and systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field required; advanced degree or certification a plus.
Budget management experience exceeding $10M.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role based in PVH’s Bridgewater, NJ office with frequent travel to PVH’s New York offices and construction sites across North America. Up to 60% travel
