Senior Design for Manufacturing Engineer

Zero Labs Automotive, an automotive and industrial design, technology, and engineering firm based in Los Angeles, California, is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. As a leader in developing Premium Classic Electric Vehicles, Zero Labs Automotive has been featured in TopGear, MotorTrend, GQ, Robb Report, Esquire, and hundreds of other publications in less than a year. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in developing real things from start to finish in an to end manufacturing processes for these innovative vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement best practices for manufacturing processes, including assembly, fabrication, and machining
• Oversee the manufacturing process from start to finish, ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards are upheld
• Maintain and update manufacturing procedures and documentation
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure product design is optimized for manufacturing
• Develop and implement cost reduction strategies for production processes
• Train, supervise, and mentor manufacturing staff, including providing feedback and evaluating performance
• Analyze production data and develop strategies for continuous improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field
• Experience creating and completing parts, assemblies or products from start to finish in a manufacturing process
• 7+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing, with a focus on process optimization and continuous improvement
• Proficiency in CAD software and other manufacturing software programs
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team and provide technical guidance and support
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of electric vehicles and their manufacturing processes is a plus
