Scope of Position The Distribution Department is responsible for the order, receipt, storage, and distribution of Medical Center supplies, linens, and portable equipment throughout the Medical Center. The department has the responsibility for overseeing the operation of the Automated Guided Vehicle System, which moves all supplies, food, and trash within the Medical Center. The department is also responsible for maintaining Inventory Management Systems throughout the Medical Center. Distribution is responsible for triage and reprocessing of portable equipment. The department coordinates Specialty Bed placements and charge capture for beds and equipment. The department enforces sound materials management practices throughout the Medical Center.
Position Summary Provide centralized control and distribution of portable medical equipment throughout the Medical Center. Inspect and check portable equipment; troubleshoot minor equipment problems. May assist Stores Clerks in filling storeroom, linen, and portable equipment orders. Receives and unloads stock. Monitors and maintains adequate supply inventory and maintain related records and documentation. Serves as a liaison between Medical Center departments, patient care staff, Materiel Systems, and vendors. Maintains proficiency in the Workday system.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers and to read and write simple sentences plus: 1 course in record keeping (or 1 mo. exp.); 1 course in inventory control (or 1 mo. exp.); or equivalent.
Additional Information:
Under the supervision of the Supply Chain Manager or Supervisor, receives incoming shipments, unloads, and unpacks shipments and verifies contents with purchase order. Ships outgoing packages with proper return authorization. Delivers storeroom orders sent per Workday to departments throughout the facility at intervals established by the Supervisor. Delivers all supplies and equipment shipped to the facility. Maintains storeroom and receiving dock in a clean and orderly condition. Assists in physical inventory and resolution of any issues related to the tasks assigned.
