Job Purpose

We are seeking a Full-Stack Java Developer to support its Local Government Services Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for application development and support of Java-based applications, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, software debugging, testing, and implementation planning. This role will also support modernization initiatives by researching and implementing new technologies.

Requirements

1. Design, code, test, modify, install, and debug software applications that integrate with Java-based systems and related applications
2. Research and analyze system problems individually or in a team, create solutions, and develop program documentation
3. Communicate technical and business information to stakeholders and end users
4. Translate business requirements into development tasks and deliver secure, maintainable code
5. Research, evaluate, and adopt new technologies to support modernization initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems Management
• Minimum 2 years of experience in software development with expertise in:
• Java, JavaScript, J2SE, J2EE
• Struts and Spring frameworks
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, debugging, and testing practices
• Ability to analyze business requirements and develop effective technical solutions
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills
