Overview

The Sr. Manager/Manager, Commercial Strategy Effectiveness is responsible for the management and execution of key strategic initiatives and business processes in support of the Commercial Strategy Effectiveness team. Working integrally with the VP Commercial Strategy Effectiveness, this role will provide day-to-day project management across the full suite of Commercial Strategy Effectiveness priorities.

This position also works closely with the Regions, Dedicated Divisions and State teams to provide support in the translation of the above priorities into operational action within the Company’s core business model.

Additionally, this role manages all internal team processes including presentation and meeting support, budgeting and financial analysis and communications.

Primary Responsibilities

•    Accountable for program/project management and execution on strategic optimization and performance improvement efforts, including but not limited to:
    •    Salesforce Optimization: Route-to-Market design, sales planning/execution, sales force size/coverage, org. structures, etc.
    •    Customer/Account Modeling and Analysis: Account segmentation, channel strategy, cost-to-serve analytics, ROI, etc.
    •    Performance Management and Efficiencies: Compensation/incentive design, development of KPIs, measurement, etc.
    •    BI/Analytics/SFA: Sales/marketing tools, reporting, execution tracking, KPIs, mobility, CRM, etc.
•    Coordinate with both Sales and Operations to seek opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost savings
•    Coordinate with HR and Proof to optimize salesforce effectiveness through new digital platforms
•    Serve as the point-of-contact with region and state strategy teams to coordinate and facilitate corporate and regional projects and provide post project evaluations and results tracking
•    Manage multiple projects and initiatives as needed.
•    Proactively identify opportunities to enhance Commercial ways of working and cross-functional collaboration at the Corporate, Regional, and State levels.
 

Additional Primary Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Statistics, or related area
•    5 - 10 years of relevant consulting, project management, analytical and/or commercial work experience is required with at least two to five years’ experience the Wine & Spirits/Beverage Industry
•    Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel
•    Able to organize priorities and work under deadlines while producing a high-quality result
•    Demonstrated ability to inspire others while working as part of a team
•    Strong analytical skills, able to communicate both verbally and in writing
•    Knowledge of applicable state regulations and adult beverage market dynamics
•    Must possess ability to take the initiative, pro-actively look for solutions, work and manage projects within tight deadlines, and communicate to project leadership any challenges/issues in a clear and timely fashion
•    Must be comfortable interpreting and manipulating large amounts of data
•    Must have sufficient self-confidence, poise, and interpersonal skills to be able to work effectively as part of a team, to take part in professional discussions and to liaise with senior executives on a regular basis
•    Able to obtain and meet industry licensing requirements as needed
•    Ability to travel domestically up to 30%

 

Preferred Qualifications
•    Prior experience in a Commercial Sales, Commercial Operations, Commercial Strategy and/or Trade Development role with exposure to Sales and Suppl
