JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Smeal College of Business Management & Organization Department is seeking applicants for a part-time research assistant for Professor Semin Park. Professor Park is seeking a highly conscientious and responsible undergraduate Research Assistant to support in-lab data collection for a computer-based behavioral study. This is a great opportunity for students interested in psychology, management, or behavioral research.
The RA will be primarily responsible for running study sessions, which include:
- Checking in participants and confirming consent
- Launching and monitoring computer-based experiments
- Troubleshooting basic technical issues
- Ensuring data integrity and professional conduct in a high-stakes research environment.
Requirements, qualifications, and/or competencies:
- Strong attention to detail, punctuality, and reliability
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Basic proficiency with computers (e.g., browser navigation, data entry, troubleshooting)
- Comfort managing participants and following structured procedures
- Prior lab experience is not required, but professionalism and maturity are a must.
Schedule:
- September 1, 2025 - November 21, 2025
- 3 - 6 hours every week (+/- 2 hours)
Compensation:
The rate for this job is $18 - $20 per hour, based on experience.
