About the role

Description

We have a state-of-the-art dental practice at Joint Base Lewis-McChord as part of Army and Air Force Exchange Services specifically servicing Military Families and Military Veterans. Our practice has a family feel and we focus on building relationships with our patients. Making sure to provide each of our patients with the best quality care.


Responsibilities:

  • Use various diagnostic tests to determine the condition of patients’ teeth
  • Study patient records, including dental histories, and x-rays to develop treatment plans
  • Discuss treatment plans and cost estimates with patients
  • Performing non-surgical root canals, endodontics surgery, apicoectomies, anterior, posterior treatments.
  • Instruct assistants on endodontic procedures and techniques
  • Collaborate with other specialists, such as dentists and oral surgeons, to coordinate endodontic services within the overall treatment plan.
  • Educating patients on on-going care and explaining proper oral hygiene methods for good oral health
  • Comprehensive documentation of patient visit, including but not limited to patient consents, clinically appropriate x-rays, medical history review, occlusion assessment, complete patient notes by end of day etc.

Requirements

  • DDS or DMD from an accredited US program with Advanced education in Endodontics.
  • Excellent proficiency and knowledge of requisite procedural skills
  • Active and Unrestricted State Dental License
  • DEA license as required.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain a Real ID prior to starting
  • Superb dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Suite
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Great interpersonal skills.
  • Lead with a positive attitude, calm approach, fairness, and consistency
