We are seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in delivering our innovative product to a rapidly expanding global customer base. The Core Infrastructure Team is the backbone of all infrastructure and database operations at BILL.

The Senior AWS Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will lead the charge in building and maintaining BILL's cloud-based platform on AWS. This involves developing virtual private clouds, compute, and storage services to host a variety of applications. The platform must meet the business's needs both now and in the future, remaining scalable, high-performing, secure, and robust.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building and automating the platform to minimize support overhead.
• Creating and maintaining thorough documentation to communicate how the platform operates.
• Collaborating closely within engineering teams and across the organization to share knowledge and drive innovation.

We’d love to chat if you have:

• 6+ years of experience in AWS cloud infrastructure design and management
• 4+ years of Terraform experience with module creation, complex deployments, and drift detection
• Strong knowledge of core AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.)
• Advanced coding skills in Golang and Python, with a focus on developing reusable modules and infrastructure tooling
• Strong background in CI/CD integration, pipeline automation, and Git version control
• Proven experience in implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting for cloud infrastructure using tools like CloudWatch, Datadog
• AWS Certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, etc.)

The estimated salary  range for this role is noted below for our San Jose based role.  Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.

San Jose pay range$146,900—$176,300 USD

The estimated base salary range for this role is noted below for our office location in Draper, UT. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in BILL’s bonus and equity plan.
