About the role

The Project Manager I will oversee the operational aspects of a research education project.   The Project Manager I supports project leadership, organizes meetings, conferences, seminars, location moves, educational initiatives and other projects, and is responsible for the creation and monitoring of timelines and other specifications.

  • Plans, directs and coordinates activities of designated project(s) to ensure that goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.  Alters plans and makes recommendations for future project phases or future projects, based on lessons learned from the project.
  • Reviews project proposal or plan to determine timeframe, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project(s). 
  • Organizes and facilitates multi-site meetings, including agenda-setting.
  • Coordinates and tracks activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule, including consultants and other outside vendors.
  • Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required.
  • Prepares project reports for project leadership.  Confers with other project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
  • Supports the research scholar funding process, including letters of inquiry, investigator queries, online submission processes and tracking
  • Liaises with offsite stakeholders to plan, coordinate, schedule and convene the annual scholar review panel
  • May oversee participating members of the project to ensure communication is timely and accurate, and that the project needs are met, including documentation for the project.
  • May participate in budget development and financial tracking for the project.
  • Performs other related duties.
  • Bachelors degree or greater preferred, or combination of applicable work experience and education
  • 3+ years of relevant experience with Masters degree; 5+ years with Bachelors degree; project management-specific experience preferred

 

Compensation Statement

 

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $65,885.00 - $98,827.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
