Donaldson summer internships provide ambitious undergraduates the chance to gain real world experience in their field of study. We provide challenging, professional experience with a global corporation, where interns learn from and work alongside Donaldson employees. Internships take place at our global headquarters in Bloomington, MN, during an 11-week period.

This IT TechServices Intern position will begin the process of a monitoring position. Qualified candidates will have a computer science background, will possess an interest in learning hardware and networking, as well as some coding experience and interest. This role works with a team of both local and global IT professionals and interacts with multiple aspects of the corporate IT work at Donaldson. Previous helpdesk experience with troubleshooting is preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Monitoring internal systems, such as Oracle, MS SQL and other Donaldson systems

• Working with other Donaldson groups to ensure systems are accurately catalogued and monitored

• Troubleshooting

• Automating alerts through scripts, coding

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current undergraduate rising junior enrolled in an accredited program pursuing a degree in: Computer Science, Information Technology Infrastructure, Management Information Systems or related major

• Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Python, MSSQL, Terraform, or similar programming languages or technologies

• Experience in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Power Platform

• Understanding of Virtualization, client-server, and data center technologies

• Helpdesk experience with troubleshooting

• Minimum 3.0 out of a 4.0 cumulative GPA
