Digital Commerce is a strategic focus area at Boston Scientific, with the aim of enhancing the ease of doing business with our company and realizing internal efficiencies to expedite innovation. Building on our initial successes, we acknowledge that we are at the beginning of an exciting journey, which has motivated us to enhance our investment efforts.
To lead and consolidate these efforts, we have established a centralized Digital Commerce Center of Excellence team responsible for crafting and implementing strategies across our global organization. The current landscape in Digital Commerce at Boston Scientific is exciting, and the team harbors an ambitious vision for the future that spans all regions and product lines. In pursuit of this business-critical vision, the team is actively seeking a proficient Merchandising Lead who will take charge of the overall merchandising strategy for the eCommerce site. This role involves overseeing the product data utilized by various programs on the platform and contributing to the development of merchandising capabilities within individual business units.
The selected individual will be tasked with establishing processes and delivery standards while crafting the merchandising playbook for the onboarding of new product lines and regions. They should possess strong organizational skills, be an inspiration to fellow team members, exhibit self-motivation, and possess a solutions-oriented mindset. Comfort in navigating uncharted territory, creative thinking, and the ability to adapt swiftly to a constantly changing environment are imperative. The position also demands excellent project management, communication, presentation skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Facilitate onboarding of new divisions and regions to digital commerce platforms.
- Demonstrate expertise in product/content merchandising and catalog management.
- Lead the development of product/content merchandising, encompassing research, collection, and planning.
- Provide internal support for product/content merchandising, actively participating in calls and web demonstrations.
- Outline merchandising and catalog workflows and roles required post-launch for the eCommerce platform. This will include merchandising, catalog management, storefront, and deployment practices.
- Maintain close collaboration between Boston Scientific product managers globally and across all divisions to ensure customer expectations are exceeded in enrichment, merchandising, and content.
- Contribute to cross-departmental collaboration.
- Participate in all communications for product/content merchandising and catalog enhancements.
- Monitor key product/content merchandising and catalog metrics.
- Communicate with content strategists, product development, marketing, sales, UX/UI, and engineering to develop and integrate client-facing product information. Resolve any arising issues.
- Strategically execute plans to meet Voice of Customer (VOC) requirements, ensuring findings are reflected in the backlog.
- Contribute to internal, stakeholder, and executive presentations around the program. Prioritize surfacing, advocating, and collaborating on program content needs.
- Coordinate with other product and content teams to exploit synergies and opportunities for sharing technologies and integrating product data and content.
- Assist product managers in maintaining, grooming, and collecting product and catalog requirements. Ensure the backlog aligns with the program's direction and aids in program prioritization.
- Serve as a mentor and guide for divisional merchandising managers.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience as an eCommerce Merchandiser.
- Experience with digital commerce concepts and best practices, demonstrating a proven ability to specify and drive the implementation of best-in-class solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience/knowledge of SAP Hybris strongly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
