Psychiatrist - Utilization Review - Remote (1099 Independent Contractor)

Description

Medical Review Institute of America is a national Independent Review Organization that facilitates the review of medical claims to determine treatment appropriateness.

 

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Minnesota state medical license is required.

• Review Prior Authorizations for treatment by applying nationally accepted medical and healthcare plan guidelines and provide expert, unbiases assessments while ensuring compliance with ERISA/DOL and state regulations.
• Flexibility - work as little as 1-2 hours per week (with no minimum requirement.). Moste cases take 30-60 minutes to complete.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• Work remotely from anywhere in the US (Per HIPPA Regulations patient records cannot leave the US.)
• Covered under MRIoA's Errors and Omissions policy.
• Independent Contractor (1099) opportunity.

Requirements

• Must have a Medical Degree MD or DO
• Must have a current Minnesota unencumbered medical license
• Current Board Certification in Psychiatry
• Must have 5 years of clinical experience post-residency completion
• Daytime availability is required for peer-to-peer conversations
